A life in
storytelling.

Nick Loren’s career in entertainment began with music, his first passion. As a young single father, however, making a living took priority. In 1996, an opportunity to double Nicolas Cage on Face/Off introduced him to John Travolta, beginning a friendship and professional partnership that would span nearly three decades and more than 25 films.

Along the way, Loren built a diverse career as an actor, appearing in more than 40 film and television productions, including Face/Off, Swordfish, Be Cool, Wild Hogs, and From Paris with Love. His years on set became an education in filmmaking, from cameras, lighting, and physical production to creative development, financing, and distribution, ultimately leading him into producing.

His production work includes Mother’s Day, directed by Garry Marshall, and the animated feature Animal Crackers, starring Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Ian McKellen, and Danny DeVito. Brought in to help complete the latter, Loren supervised its final stages of animation production and secured its distribution with Netflix, where it reached the platform’s Top 10.

Music has remained a constant throughout his career. His 2008 album produced the Top 10 U.S. radio single Forever Be Cool, and he continues to write and produce original music for film and recording artists internationally.

His recent work includes That’s Amore!, featuring his original song When Love Finds a Way, performed by Pia Toscano and produced with Grammy-nominated producer Jean-Yves “Jeeve” Ducornet. Upcoming projects include New Jersey’s Finest, starring Frank Grillo, Mekhi Phifer, Chazz Palminteri, and Drea de Matteo, alongside two original animated series in development, The Adventures of Farful and AEVORA.

Now spending much of his time in Brazil, Loren continues to develop films, create original intellectual property, and explore new musical collaborations, including Brazil’s sertanejo and forró traditions.

From his earliest days on set to producing films and creating original stories and music, Loren’s career has been shaped by curiosity, collaboration, and a lifelong love of storytelling.
